This will be the last post from China as everyone but me is in bed getting ready to wake at 4:30 AM local for the flight back home. I'm not looking forward to it at all. No updates to the album until we return, but just wanted to write this final post to say goodbye to Guangzhou, Wuhan and China for now. Maybe we'll return to show Zoe her homeland someday. In the Spring or Fall. Until then, thanks for being a great host. But for now, can't wait to get back to our house in our own beds with our own food!
Quick summary of what we did today and pictures to come:
- Visited Guangzhou zoo - just like a zoo back in the US, only everything is in Chinese
- Jumped into the pool after the zoo - it's a nice way to cool down after trudging around in the heat
- Got Zoe's immigration visa and took the oath at the US Consulate - it's now official that when she crosses the border, she's an instant citizen!
- Went to the hotel BBQ buffet - it was okay; I think I can give them a run for their money on my Weber!
That's it from the White Swan Hotel. Any random posts after this are likely to come from free
internet cafes, my mobile phone, or the good
ol' home network in Aurora! See ya, or as they say in China "bye bye" (yes, that's what they say now a days...)
