It's that time of month where the rumors start to leak out about the next round of matches. The Chinese agency (CCAA) responsible for processing adoptions will be taking next week off for a national holiday (week of October 1st), but there's some speculation that they worked through this weekend to get the next round of matches mailed out before the holiday. Apparently it is fairly typical for individuals in China to work through the weekend prior to a major holiday. (Seems to sort of defeat the purpose of a holiday in my mind, but good for us...)
Anyway, the word on the street is that they have matched LIDs through the end of November (11/30/05) which if true translates to a 5 day batch, on par with last month's 4 day batch -- excruciatingly slow going... Needless to say they'd have to have some pretty big match months in November & December if we have any chance of getting matched in January, which is not looking too good at this point. Still keeping our fingers crossed that our match occurs sometime before the end of March '08 -- nice birthday present for Mike if we were to be matched or traveling to China during his birthday month.
