Earlier this week China matched those families with LIDs through December 19th (=5 days of LIDs since the last batch in early December). Five days wouldn't be so bad if the estimated number of LIDs during that time was on the high side, but by all estimates this referral batch included a very small number of children.
Based on the latest numbers, the adoption forecasting website I told you about last month suggests May 3, 2008 is when we will likely get our referral. A date that is inching closer to Mike's personal guesstimate of sometime in July...
As you know, the adoption process has taken MUCH longer than Mike and I ever anticipated. However, we (perhaps me more so than Mike) remain optimistic that we will be united with our daughter Zoe when the time is right.
