Monthly Adoption Update

It's about that time of month where the rumors start to percolate about the next group of matches. As of now, it looks like those families with an LID through December 14th will be receiving their matches in the upcoming week(= 6 days of LIDs matched since last round of referrals).

I recently came across a website that uses statistical modeling to predict referral dates based on your LID and recent trends. Based on China's performance through November, that site predicted that we will receive our match around April 4th, 2008 with the earliest date being 01/17/08 (not gonna happen) and the latest 09/03/08 (let's hope this doesn't happen). As of yesterday, Mike's personal guesstimate is sometime in July.

The State Department recently released the numbers related to US families completing international adoptions. I've pasted a table below that compares the number of children adopted in 2007 & 2006 just FYI...
